Christ the King School
At Christ the King School we offer a high standard of educational opportunities to students and support this with a strong link to the parish of Christ the King. We are focused on ensuring that every child is known by name and need and pride ourselves on a commitment to best practice and the continual improvement in standards across the school.
“We are focussed on maintaining a contemporary approach to learning and pride ourselves on the fact that every individual child is known by name and need.”
Newsletter 11 | 9 August Term 3, Week 4
There would not be a single family who, at some stage in the life of their children, hadn’t encouraged them to “do their best”. Some children with a casual approach to life might have thought their parents’ encouragement to be an endorsement of their casual approach to life and so never really got themselves out of third gear, nor out of their comfort zone.
NAPLAN Online – You may have heard that NAPLAN Online was introduced in 2018, with 274 schools Western Australian schools participating. Our school will be transitioning to NAPLAN Online in 2019.
Animal Fun in Early Childhood Classrooms – On Thursday 26 July the Early Childhood Teaching Staff and Mr Dobbie completed training on the Animal Fun Program. Animal Fun is a unique program that promotes development in motor skills and social skills in children.
Naked Food Tuesday & Thursday – We are continuing to encourage a zero waste lunch day on Tuesday and Thursday (and any other day you like!).
A zero waste lunch contains no throwaway packaging (but banana and citrus peels or an apple core are OK!).
